Google will now show Tweets in search results on desktop too

Back in May 2015, Google and Twitter announced a partnership where tweets were integrated in Google search results. While this integration was limited to Google Search app on Android and iOS devices, Google has now rolled out the Twitter integration on desktop search results as well.

This announcement officially comes from Google’s Twitter handle as well as on an updated Google blog post. With the new desktop integration, it is now possible to search for Twitter accounts, tweets, trending topics and hashtags with a regular Google search. Including real-time events in Google search results isn’t new, but with Twitter integration, it adds a whole new dimension. To begin with, Twitter results on desktop is only enabled for English language.
